Royal Air Maroc Named Best African Airline by Global Traveler Magazine
Royal Air Maroc has just been elected best airline in Africa by Global Traveler magazine. The announcement was made on Tuesday during the 18th edition of the magazine’s "GT Tested Reader Survey" held in Los Angeles.
The Moroccan airline was also elected the fourth best airline in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region. It is ahead of Etihad Airways, Emirates and Qatar Airways. "We are happy and honored to receive this prestigious award and to be recognized as the best airline in Africa... This Global Traveler Award motivates us above all to continue to move forward and improve, despite the difficult times our industry is going through," said Hamid Addou, CEO of Royal Air Maroc, quoted in a press release published by the company.

The GT Tested Reader Survey is a benchmark survey organized by Global Traveler, an international monthly magazine primarily aimed at major business and leisure travelers. For this 18th edition of the "GT Tested Reader Survey", some 20,000 subscribers to the magazine participated in the votes. In addition, OneWorld, of which Royal Air Maroc has been a member since 2020, also obtained the title of best global airline alliance for the 12th consecutive year at this edition.
In 2019, Skytrax had elected, for the sixth consecutive time, Royal Air Maroc, the best regional airline in Africa, maintaining its Skytrax 4-star label.
