Royal Air Maroc to Launch Flights Between Morocco and Israel in 2021

Royal Air Maroc is one of the airlines selected to launch commercial flights between Morocco and Israel, announced on Wednesday, December 16, the supervising minister, Nadia Fettah Alaoui, during her appearance on Israeli public television, Kan.
During her intervention, the minister specified that "the first airlines, both Israeli and Moroccan, interested in these commercial flights will offer between 2 to 4 flights per week. We will discuss together to set the combination to be retained during the start-up phase," she promised.
For the time being, no programming has yet been made by the national carrier for these flights, scheduled for the first quarter of 2021. Pending the opening of borders, only specials will be scheduled at first.
In addition, Ms. Fettah Alaoui also reassures regarding the easing of visa issuance conditions.
Three Israeli companies (El Al, Israir and Arkia) have already expressed their intention to offer flights between Morocco and Israel as soon as the authorities of the two countries have given the green light. These here plan to transport some 200,000 tourists per year, compared to around 70,000 in 2019. This figure should increase significantly in the coming years.
