Morocco’s National Airlines to Launch Direct Flights to Israel in October

The national airlines Royal Air Maroc and Air Arabia will launch their first direct flights to Israel in October. This announcement was made by David Govrin, head of the Israeli liaison office in Rabat.
"Another important step is being added to the efforts to strengthen relations between Morocco and Israel. Due to the strong demand for direct flights between the two countries, the two airlines, Air Arabia and Royal Air Maroc, will open new routes starting next October, connecting Marrakech and Casablanca to Israel," announced the head of the Israeli liaison office in Rabat, on his Twitter account, thus confirming information from Maghreb Intelligence.
On July 25, the Israeli airlines El Al and Israir had operated the inaugural flights between Tel Aviv and Marrakech. On Friday, the Moroccan Minister of Tourism, Nadia Fettah Alaoui, spoke by phone with her Israeli counterpart Yoel Razvozov. Yaïr Lapid, Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs, is, for his part, expected in Morocco this week, where he will proceed to the inauguration of the Israeli diplomatic mission.
