Morocco Expands Air Links to Israel: New Direct Flights from Casablanca and Marrakech

Royal Air Maroc and Air Arabia have announced the increase in direct flights between Morocco and Israel. These flights, which will be launched in early October, will connect Casablanca and Marrakech to Tel Aviv.
As announced at the launch in July of the direct flights between the two countries, the two airlines have decided to increase the flights due to strong demand.
"Due to the growing demand for direct Morocco-Israel flights, Air Arabia and RAM will launch new routes connecting Marrakech and Casablanca to Israel, starting in October," tweeted the head of the Israel Liaison Office in Rabat, David Govrin, describing this decision as a "major step in efforts to strengthen relations between Morocco and Israel".
Middle East Monitor in turn indicates that this announcement comes after a phone call on Friday between the Moroccan Minister of Tourism, Nadia Fattah Alaoui, and her Israeli counterpart, Yoel Razvozov, during which they discussed ways to develop their cooperation.
It should be recalled that two Israeli airlines have launched direct flights between Tel Aviv and Marrakech on July 25. These are El Al and Israir, while a third company, Arkia, will follow this month of August.
Ultimately, the direct flights between the two countries will concern Marrakech, but also Casablanca and Essaouira.
