Royal Air Maroc to Launch Flights Between Morocco and Algeria in September

The national airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announces round-trip flights to Algeria departing from Morocco starting in September. It has already put tickets on sale.
On its website, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) offers flights from Casablanca to Algiers at 291 euros and Algiers-Casablanca flights at 243 euros starting September 16. This announcement follows a decision taken by the Algerian government on August 22. In a press release from the Council of Ministers, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune ordered "the opening of new flights to open destinations and others to new countries".
However, the press release does not specify that RAM is now authorized to operate flights to Algeria. Since June, Algeria has reopened its skies to seven countries: France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Tunisia and Russia (added since early August). In total, nine airlines, Air Algérie, Air France, Transavia, ASL Airlines, Vueling, Lufthansa, Alitalia, Turkish Airlines and Tunisair operate about fifteen flights per week. It remains to be seen whether RAM will be included in this list before September 16.
