Israel and Morocco to Launch Direct Flights Following Diplomatic Breakthrough

"We will first set up liaison offices, then direct diplomatic relations and direct flights between the two countries," the Israeli Prime Minister said in a televised speech.

It also added that it "will begin operational preparations for the operation of direct flights to Casablanca, subject to obtaining all necessary approvals from the various authorities."

As for Israir, it stated that it would "open direct lines at a rate of 20 flights per week between the two countries within three months, provided that all parties are serious."

In a telephone conversation with Trump, King Mohammed VI promised to facilitate direct flights for Israeli tourists to and from Morocco, according to a statement from the Royal Cabinet.
