Israeli Airlines Plan Direct Flights to Morocco, Boosting Tourism Recovery

Israeli airlines are working to operate flights to Morocco as early as 2021, with more than 150,000 Israeli tourists on board the planes. This could give a new impetus to Moroccan tourism, which has been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Thanks to the restoration of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Israel, airlines can now operate direct flights to the kingdom. They are indeed in this dynamic. The Israeli airline El Al will thus operate at least one flight per day to Morocco, reports the Jewish News Syndicate website.
"The company is pleased with the historic announcement and will begin preparing direct flights to Casablanca subject to obtaining all the required authorizations from the various authorities," El Al said in a statement.
The Israir Airlines company will soon start serving Morocco. According to its CEO’s forecasts, 150,000 Israeli tourists could visit the kingdom as early as next year, compared to only 30,000 today.
Arkia, the third largest Israeli airline, also plans to serve the Kingdom as early as next year.
