Royal Air Maroc Faces Criticism Over Delays, Safety Concerns, and Staff Treatment

The Moroccan airline, Royal Air Maroc, has been under fire in recent months, whether from passengers who complain of incessant delays, but also from its staff, who are demanding an improvement in their working conditions.
Several Internet users have expressed their dissatisfaction on social networks regarding Royal Air Maroc (RAM). They criticize the company for the poor treatment of staff and the many unjustified flight delays.
RAM is also accused of endangering the lives of passengers. Internet users mention the plane that had to make an emergency landing in Seville, while it was heading for the Dutch capital. It was the passengers who had alerted the crew to the presence of abnormal noises.
Another plane, operating a domestic route, had narrowly avoided the worst, last September, if it were not for the vigilance of the captain. Passengers had vainly tried to alert the staff to the noise nuisance.
Internet users have not forgotten to raise the issue of baggage. Several passengers, including foreigners, had lost theirs during the company’s flights, without being able to recover them.
The new President of RAM had submitted to the Government a Development Plan for the company with the aim of doubling its fleet to reach 120 aircraft. Requiring a budget of 30 billion dirhams, the request was rejected.
