Royal Air Maroc Absent from Global Airline Punctuality Rankings

Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is not in the ranking of airlines that excelled in terms of punctuality and operational performance in the world, nor in the Middle East and Africa.
With an impressive punctuality rate of 86.70%, the national Mexican airline Aeromexico wins the prestigious title of the world’s most punctual airline in 2024, just ahead of Saudia (86.35%). Delta Air Lines takes third place with 83.46%. With an impressive punctuality rate of 86.70%, LATAM takes fourth place. Qatar Airways (82.83%) completes the TOP 5 of the most punctual airlines in the world in 2024, established by Cirium, a provider of aviation data.
By region, Safair wins the award for the most punctual airline in the Middle East and North Africa with an impressive punctuality rate of 93.82%. It is followed by Oman Air (90.27%) and Royal Jordanian (87.02%). Saudia (86.35%) and Kuwait Airways (84.63%) complete the top 5 of the most punctual airlines in the Middle East and Africa in 2024.
In addition to the ranking on punctuality, Cirium has also published its top of airlines that have excelled in terms of operational performance. It is Delta Air Lines that has won, for the fourth consecutive year, the Platinum award at Delta Air Lines for its operational excellence worldwide. This company operated a total of 1,712,529 flights in 2024.
According to the criteria of Cirium’s ranking, "an on-time flight is defined as a flight that arrives a maximum of 14.59 minutes after the scheduled arrival time at the gate," says Air Journal, adding that the Platinum award "takes into account the complexity of the carrier’s network, the volume of flights and the ability to limit the impact of flight disruptions on passengers throughout the year."
