Rising Star Mohamed Ali-Cho Keeps International Options Open: France, Morocco, or Ivory Coast?

Mohamed Ali-Cho, a young French striker of Ivorian-Moroccan origin, freshly arrived at Real Sociedad, does not rule out the possibility of one day playing for the Moroccan national team.
"I’m only 18 years old. I’ll see how my career evolves and what the national teams are offering, but for now I’m with France and I’m very happy about it," said Mohamed Ali-Cho, who, after playing for the English national team, could join the Moroccan or Ivorian national team, the countries of origin of his mother and father.
The young player plays in the big leagues because he "deserves" it and because he is "good on the field," he assures. "I started training with the pros at 15, I started playing in Ligue 1 at 16..." the young French striker said. For Sylvain Ripoll, coach of the French under-21 national team, Cho is an "explosive" player who makes the difference with "his speed and his way of occupying space". "He has huge potential and a fairly complete profile for an 18-year-old striker," the coach points out.
Mohamed Ali-Cho arrived at Real Sociedad during the last transfer window for 11 million euros ($10.8 million). Elected man of the match against Atlético de Madrid on Saturday in La Liga (1-1), he is "eager" to be on Thursday at Old Trafford for the match against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Manchester City in the Europa League. "I handle the pressure very well. I can’t wait to be there," the player assured.
