Morocco’s Hakim Ziyech: Chelsea Star Aims to Shine in Second World Cup

Hakim Ziyech started his career in 2007 with the Dutch club Heerenveen. He revealed himself in 2012 during a Europa League match against Rapid Bucharest. The following season, he confirmed his performances by scoring eleven goals in the first division. In 2014, he joined Twente and became the top scorer of the team and the Eredivisie that same season. On August 30, 2016, he joined the Ajax team for 11 million euros. In his first season, the Amsterdam team reached the Europa League final, but lost to Manchester United, recalls RTVE.

During the first two seasons with Ajax, he scored at least ten goals and was the league’s best player in 17/18. The following season will be the best of his career. Versatile, Ziyech can play in different positions on the field. His speed and dribbling ability are his assets, not to mention his accurate passes. The Moroccan striker has an easy time breaking through the opposing defense and scoring goals. Very comfortable on both wings or as a midfielder, he has the ability to create very dangerous chances.
