Rennes Eyeing Moroccan Star Ziyech for January Transfer

After the failure of his transfer to PSG in January 2023, Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech seems to have a new opportunity to play in France. His profile would interest a new French club.
Jorge Sampaoli’s wish, appointed to the Rennes bench on November 11, is to strengthen the team that will soon open its doors, in January. And the first rumors are flying. Stade Rennais would like to acquire the services of the Moroccan international (64 caps, 25 goals), reports the Turkish media including Takvim.
Currently, the Moroccan international is lacking playing time at Galatasaray where he has been playing since August 2023. He has only provided one small assist in ten games in all competitions this season.
If Ziyech joins Rennes, he could regain the confidence of the coach of the Moroccan national team before the next Africa Cup of Nations (CAN). He has been relegated to the substitute bench since the start of the season. The Atlas Lion has not been called up to the national team in recent months.
In addition to Stade Rennais, other clubs such as Al Arabi (Qatar) or MLS (United States) would also like to secure the services of the former star of Ajax Amsterdam.
