Rennes in Advanced Talks with Galatasaray’s Ziyech for Potential Ligue 1 Move

Hakim Ziyech’s future should be written in Ligue 1. Stade Rennais is closely interested in the Moroccan international, currently under contract with Galatasaray. In difficulty in Turkey, the 31-year-old striker is no longer in the plans of his coach Okan Buruk.
According to the Turkish press, the Rennes leaders would have started quite advanced discussions with Ziyech’s agent. The objective: to submit an offer to him for the winter transfer window. The former Chelsea player would be receptive to an experience in France, even if he also has proposals in MLS (American championship) and in Qatar.
On the Rennes side, coach Jorge Sampaoli would be a fervent advocate of Ziyech’s arrival. The Argentinian would be putting pressure on his management for the transfer to materialize.
Ziyech is going through difficult times in Istanbul. Confined to a substitute role, he has only played five league games this season, providing one assist. A situation that has also cost him his place in the Moroccan national team.
Arrived in Turkey in the summer of 2023, Ziyech is linked to Galatasaray until June 2025. The club is therefore trying to take advantage of him before letting him go next summer without any transfer fee.
