Ziyech Seeks Full Salary Payout to Leave Galatasaray

The Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech should undoubtedly leave Galatasaray during the winter transfer window. This is confirmed by all parties, but the former Ajax player is demanding a large indemnity to accept the transfer to another club.
Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk confirmed a few days ago the difficulties encountered by Ziyech. "He has let us know that he is unhappy with the little playing time he is getting," Buruk said, adding that the player "is close to a departure."
But Ziyech’s departure could be costly for Galatasaray. The player is demanding the payment of the full amount of his salaries until the end of the season, in exchange for a contract termination. A request that puts the club’s management in a delicate financial situation.
Ziyech earns an annual salary of 5.5 million euros, a significant cost for Galatasaray, which had nevertheless bet on the Moroccan player by offering him a one-year contract with an option for an additional year.
Despite his talent, Ziyech has only played 320 minutes this season, recording one assist. His current market value is estimated at 5 million euros, according to Transfermarkt.
