Renault Unveils Express: First Fully Moroccan-Designed Car to Hit Market in June

The Renault Morocco group unveiled its new gem on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 morning. The Express, the new model entirely designed in Morocco, will be on the market as of June 15.

This newcomer to the Renault range strengthens Morocco’s leadership in a competitive sector in Africa and worldwide. It was presented in the morning in the presence of the Minister of Industry, Trade and Green and Digital Economy, Moulay Hafid Elalamy (MHE), the CEO of Renault Morocco, Marc Nassif, and the French Ambassador to Rabat, Hélène Le Gal.

As part of its "RENAULUTION" policy, the group is undertaking a major renewal of its entire range with higher added value. The Express is intended for both professionals and individuals and offers modern services adapted to their needs. The iconic model comes in several versions.

The "panel van", versatile and efficient, is aimed at individuals and families for mixed use as well as craftsmen and merchants. It has five seats and a large cargo volume for export.

The "Ludospace", the second version, positions itself as a practical and functional van with "the best cargo volume on the market and the best storage level in its category". It will provide a suitable response to the needs of entrepreneurs and fleets on the Moroccan market.

On this occasion, Marc Nassif and MHE thanked King Mohammed VI for his vision of the industrial development plan, which has enabled, on the one hand, the creation of thousands of jobs in the north of the Kingdom, and Renault to create a new ecosystem "with a target of 2 billion euros in sourcing", explained the minister, who was pleased "with the results always exceeding the set objectives".

As the leader in the automotive industry in Morocco, Renault hopes to make the kingdom a competitive country approaching competitors such as China and India.
