Renault Group Sales Surge in Morocco, Ranking 9th Globally in First Half 2021

Morocco remains a vast commercial and strategic base for the Renault Group. In the first half of 2021, the Kingdom ranks, for the first time, in the Top 10 of the Renault Group’s main markets worldwide.
With 39,164 vehicles sold, Morocco becomes its 9th global customer. The kingdom positions itself after Spain (6th), Turkey (7th) and India (8th), the group said in a press release.
It also maintains its status as the leading customer country in terms of local market share (41.7%) on the list of the top 15 countries by sales volume, ahead of Russia (31%) and France (24.7%).
The French carmaker’s leading market in the Africa-Middle East region, Morocco registered 25,814 Dacia units at the end of June, representing a market share of 27.5%. According to the group, Dacia continues to renew its entire range.
The note indicates that the diamond brand recorded global sales of 901,500 vehicles in the world, an increase of 18.5% compared to the 1st half of 2020. In Morocco, 13,350 registrations were recorded at the end of June 2021, representing a market share of 14.2%.
