Renault Considers Rebranding Dacia Dokker as Low-Cost Kangoo for Select Markets

Renault, which will unveil its cost-cutting plan on May 29, plans to manufacture a low-cost Kangoo in Morocco. This is nothing other than the Dacia Dokker which will be sold under the Renault brand, depending on the countries, so Renault Kangoo.
Some media report that Renault wants to produce a utility version of the Kangoo in the Tangier plant in Morocco. A project that would undermine the solution of the Minister of Economy, Bruno Le Maire, to get Renault out of its difficulties. The latter conditions the recovery plan and the state-guaranteed loans on the relocation of production to France.
But in reality, it is not for the French manufacturer to produce a Kangoo in Morocco. Renault wants to reintroduce the Dacia Dokker, which had not been successful, on the French market under its own brand.
