Real Valladolid’s Moroccan Defender Target of Racist Vandalism, Club Files Complaint

The car of Jawad El Yamiq, central defender of Real Valladolid, was vandalized by supporters of the Basque club. They tagged insults and threats on the vehicle. The club reacted strongly, assuring the Moroccan of its full support.
Moroccan international Jawad El Yamiq is still in shock from this attack. The former Raja player found his vehicle not far from his home with the bodywork damaged and tagged with insults. "Hijo de P*** (son of a bitch)" was written. Deeply affected by the incident, he was unable to participate in the Wednesday, August 25 training session.
According to the player’s club, the incident occurred a few weeks ago and was not made public at the player’s request. But following the disclosure of the facts, the club expressed its disgust at these unqualifiable acts. In a statement, Real Valladolid expressed its full support for its player, whom it describes as "exemplary". A complaint has also been filed and is being closely followed by the club.
