Real Madrid Star Brahim Diaz Set to Join Morocco National Team, Snubbing Spain

Brahim Diaz would have finally agreed to wear the Moroccan jersey. National coach Walid Regragui seems to have succeeded in convincing the Real Madrid star to join the Atlas Lions, to the detriment of Spain.
Sources say that Brahim Diaz has given his in-principle agreement to Walid Regragui to participate in the upcoming friendly matches of the Moroccan team against Angola and Mauritania, scheduled for March 22 and 26 respectively at the Grand Stade d’Agadir. In other words, the Real Madrid midfielder would have agreed to play for Morocco, to the detriment of Spain.
The official announcement of Brahim Diaz’s integration into the Moroccan national team should take place in the coming days, indicate the same sources, specifying that the last meeting between Diaz and Regragui in Marrakech would have borne fruit and that the Real Madrid star would have already informed his entourage of his decision to defend the Moroccan colors.
Of Moroccan father and Spanish mother, Brahim Diaz has the possibility of playing for either of these two national teams. Born in Malaga, the young player has already participated in international competitions with the Spanish junior categories. For years, he has been awaiting a call-up to the senior team that has been slow in coming, despite the assurances of the coach, Luis de la Fuente.
