Real Madrid Honors Moroccan Artist’s Stunning Benzema Portrait

Real Madrid has paid tribute to Moroccan artist Ismail Hjila, who created the portrait of French international Karim Benzema, the Spanish club’s star, freshly crowned with a Ballon d’Or.
Ismail Hjila has seduced Real Madrid. The Spanish club appreciated the creation by the young Moroccan artist of the portrait of its star Karim Benzema, who won the 2022 Ballon d’Or. The artist sculpted the French international on the walls of his home. On canvas, this portrait was shared on the official accounts of the Casa Blanca. "Impressive!", wrote the club.
The public discovered Ismail Hjila in 2022. During the lockdown decreed in Morocco to curb the spread of Covid-19, the young artist created portraits of celebrities like Moroccan international Abderrazak Hamdallah and five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo using salt.
