Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz Caught Between Spain and Morocco National Teams

The coach of the Spanish team, Luis de la Fuente, spoke about the case of Brahim Diaz, a player he did not call up for the matches against Cyprus and Georgia, and who is also highly coveted by Morocco.
De la Fuente explained why he did not call up Diaz for these two Euro 2024 qualifying matches. The main reason is the player’s indecision about his sporting nationality, reports Estadio Deportivo. The heart of the Real Madrid player is torn between Morocco and Spain.
The coach of the Spanish national team assured that Diaz is part of his long-term plans. "I have discussed with him and, for the moment, he is happy and excited to be selected for the Spanish senior team and we are delighted that this is the case," said De la Fuente at a press conference, specifying that Diaz can be selected by Spain at any time.
This season, the young Real Madrid player has not had much playing time. Diaz has only two starts and two goals. "Obviously, I want to play more and I know I can help... It’s Real Madrid and you have to be prepared... I’m willing to give my best," Brahim Díaz said after the match against Braga.
