Real Betis Seeks to Secure Moroccan Defender Chadi Riad in €3 Million Deal

Real Betis wants to acquire Chadi Riad, currently on loan with a purchase option in the club.
According to El Desmarque, Betis has already contacted Chadi Riad’s entourage to inform them of its intention to recruit the Moroccan defender for just under 3 million euros for 50% of his rights. The club is convinced that this operation is viable, aware of the qualities and good progress of the 20-year-old player, and especially of his value which continues to grow.
Even if Real Betis obtains half of the rights of the Moroccan international, his parent club FC Barcelona still has a buyback option estimated at 7 million euros, valid until 2025. But regardless of the conditions, Betis is determined to acquire Chadi Riad who could continue to play for the club’s reserve team for another two years.
Arrived at Betis in July as the fourth central defender, Chadi Riad has just made his debut in the senior team, after the departure of Luiz Felipe and the injury of Marc Bartra. The young player has already played 8 matches in the Betis colors.
