Rare Pink ’UFO Cloud’ Stuns Observers in Morocco’s Fès-Meknès Region

An impressive pink cloud in the shape of a flying saucer, captured in a photo in Outat El Haj, in the Fès-Meknès region, has recently caused a sensation on social media and produced some frights.
The cloud, with almost surreal appearances, has led some to say the imminent arrival of the apocalypse.
This cloud is an example of a lenticular cloud, a natural phenomenon where high-altitude air currents interact with the terrain to form a saucer-like structure. Its formation is generally more common, but the appearance of this one was exceptionally spectacular.
The cloud was photographed at sunset, which, combined with very mild temperatures, gave it a flaming pink hue, explains the site Futura Science. "Apart from this retouching on the colors, the spectacular shape of the cloud is indeed the original one," the same source specifies.
