Saharan Sand Cloud to Blanket France Again, Bringing Warm Temperatures

A new Saharan sand cloud will plunge over France and the Lyon region as early as this Monday, April 11, warn meteorologists.
The sirocco will once again make headlines this week. "The chances of observing a third episode of Saharan sand rises are increasing for the beginning of next week," noted Guillaume Séchet, a weather journalist, last Wednesday. According to the explanations of Lyon Météo, a powerful southerly flow will set in, significantly raising temperatures. "A new sand cloud from the Sahara is expected in France, especially on Tuesday and Wednesday. In the event of showers, the rain will be sandy," the site specifies.
Sandstorms can also hit the Lyon region in the middle of the week. This weather event could reproduce the phenomenon of soiling on cars and windows. A phenomenon that had already occurred during the first cloud that swept the region on March 15.
