Saharan Sand Cloud Turns Southeastern France Skies Orange

The southeast of France has been tinged with an orange hue since last Tuesday, with the arrival of a cloud of sand from the Moroccan Sahara.
This phenomenon, driven by the southwesterly flow, is clearly visible in the sky of Aix-en-Provence and also concerns the regions of the southeast quarter.
According to Météo France, quoted by La Provence, this veil of desert dust, imported from Morocco by strong winds, should maintain its presence until Thursday, particularly in the border region between the Bouches-du-Rhône and the Gard.
The sand cloud should lose its intensity. The showers expected in the southeast region and a westerly wind at altitude should move this mass of dust towards Italy and beyond.
