Ramadan 2022 in France: Dates Announced as COVID-19 Measures Continue

In France, the start and end dates of the month of Ramadan are now known. Once again, it will be a month of fasting under coronavirus.
According to the unified Muslim calendar based on calculations, the month of Ramadan will last 30 days. The beginning of Ramadan 1443 is set for Saturday, April 2, 2022. Sunday, May 1, 2022 will mark the end of the sacred month. Still according to the same calendar, Monday, May 2 will be the first day of Eid El Fitr, the feast marking the end of Ramadan. According to the proponents of the visual observation of the crescent moon, the month of fasting could begin on Sunday, April 3, 2022, end on May 1 after 29 days or on May 2 after 30 days.
Remains to be seen whether the French Council of the Muslim Faith (CFCM) will announce the start and end dates of the fast as usual. Since late 2021, the French government no longer recognizes the 20-year-old institution as its interlocutor on Muslim worship matters. The Muslim organization will also be self-dissolved for the emergence of a new Muslim worship organization.
