French Muslim Council Announces Eid al-Fitr Date for 2022

After the Muslim Theological Council of France (CTMF), it is the turn of the French Council of the Muslim Faith (CFCM) to announce the date of Eid al-Fitr.
According to the French Council of the Muslim Faith (CFCM), Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated on Monday, May 2, 2022. "The (scientific) calculation shows that the birth of the new moon will take place on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 10:28 pm Paris time (8:28 pm universal time). As a result, it will not be visible anywhere in the world," explains the Muslim organization. Consequently, "Sunday, May 1, 2022 is certainly the 30th day of Ramadan and Monday, May 2, 2022 is the day of Eid al-Fitr" in France, the CFCM announced this Saturday.
The Muslim organization, which is called upon to dissolve itself, reminded the faithful that the amount of zakat al-Fitr has been set at 7 € per person. This sum must be paid before the Eid prayer. "This alms is exclusively intended for the most destitute and cannot be used as aid to a mosque for example, it insists. To avoid any confusion, mosques that seize this opportunity to collect donations must inform the donors."
The CFCM also presents "its dearest wishes for the Muslims of France". It calls on the imams of France "to seize the opportunity of the community prayer of Eid al-Fitr to raise prayers" so that the wars that cause many victims and push millions of children, women and men into exile "cease and that peace triumph".
