French Muslim Council Sets Eid Al-Fitr Date for March 30, 2025

Based on astronomical calculations, the Muslim Theological Council of France (CTMF) has announced the date of celebration of Eid el Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
On what date will Eid el-Fitr 1446/2025 be celebrated in France? "In accordance with scientific data, the lunar crescent will be observable on this date, which marks the end of the month of Ramadan and the beginning of Shawwal. This is why we will celebrate Eid Al-Fitr on Sunday, March 30, 2025, in accordance with our methodology based on astronomical calculations," specifies the Muslim Theological Council of France (CTMF) in a press release.
The Muslim organization will add: "In addition to the mosques following the recommendations of the CTMF, those affiliated with the French Council of the Muslim Faith (CFCM), the organization Muslims of France (MF), as well as the Turkish mosques affiliated with DITIB France, will also perform the Eid prayer on the same date, as these bodies have also retained this day based on data from astronomical calculation."
The CTMF also extends "its warmest congratulations to the entire Muslim community and expresses wishes for an accepted fast, divine blessings and forgiveness of sins."
