In accordance with scientific data, the conjunction of the new moon of Ramadan 1443H will take place on April 1, 2022 at 06:24 hours (UTC). The visibility of the moon will be possible on the same day on the American continent and part of the African continent. Consequently, the French Council of the Muslim Faith (CFCM), announces that

Saturday, April 2, 2022 is the first day of

Ramadan of the year 1443H.

On this occasion, the CFCM presents its best wishes to the Muslims of France and wishes them to live during this blessed month great moments of serenity, solidarity and sharing.

The Muslims of France, deeply attached to the spirit of sharing and solidarity of this month, will also know how to find the means to make it live by associating with humanitarian and charitable organizations by providing their support to all our fellow citizens in difficulty as well as to refugees.

The alms "Zakat El Fitr", religiously required of every Muslim family, has been assessed this year at 7 euros per person. It is intended for the poor regardless of their religious affiliation. It is recommended to benefit the needy in the place of residence of the family. Its payment, which usually takes place at the end of Ramadan, can be made from the first day. The responsibility for distributing this alms can be delegated to a person or a charitable association.

The CFCM also calls on the Muslims of France to seize the opportunity of this blessed month, the month of the Holy Quran par excellence, to raise prayers for peace in the world, the protection and prosperity of our country and our fellow citizens.
