Morocco Announces Ramadan 2024 Dates: March 12 to April 11

The start and end dates of the holy month of Ramadan in Morocco are now known.
Traditionally, the month of Ramadan is determined by the appearance of the crescent moon on the 29th evening of Sha’ban. However, weather conditions prevent the appearance of the crescent moon. According to astronomical calculations, the first day of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting for Islam, will correspond this year to March 12.
The end of Ramadan should occur about a month later, at the beginning of the following lunar cycle, i.e. April 11, 2024. The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs will officially announce the start and end dates of Ramadan in the coming days.
According to astronomical calculations, the Feast of Sacrifice or Eid al-Adha will be celebrated on June 18.
