Morocco: here is the date of Ramadan 2024

The start date of Ramadan in Morocco is now known. Astronomical calculations now allow predicting the exact date.
In a statement released on Friday, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs specified that the first day of the month of Rajab of the year 1445 of the Hijri calendar is Saturday, January 13, 2024. It also stated that it had observed the crescent moon of the month of Rajab of the year 1445 after sunset on Friday, 29 Jumada al-Thani 1445, corresponding to January 12, 2024. The department of Ahmed Toufiq also confirmed the sighting of the crescent moon in accordance with religious rules.
According to astronomical calculations based on precise scientific rules, the first day of Ramadan, the sacred month of fasting, will correspond this year to March 11, 2024. The end of Ramadan should occur about a month later, at the beginning of the following lunar cycle, i.e. April 10, 2024 and therefore Eid al-Fitr.
