Raja Casablanca President Arrested in Germany on Fraud Charges

Relying on an international arrest warrant issued by Morocco, the German authorities arrested Mohamed Boudrika, president of Raja de Casablanca, at Hamburg airport. His extradition should take place in a few days.

While he had traveled to Germany to meet the coach of the first team, Josef Zinnbauer, in order to convince him to continue his adventure with his club through the renewal of his contract, Mohamed Boudrika was arrested upon arrival at Hamburg airport. Accused of forgery and use of forgeries, as well as fraud, he is the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by Morocco. The latter has received an official notification in order to prepare an extradition request for the boss of the Greens. Morocco has a maximum of 40 days to present evidence that Boudrika is involved in the acts he is accused of before the German judicial authorities decide on the request for his extradition to the kingdom.

For months, Boudrika has been absent from Moroccan territory. Raja de Casablanca celebrated the championship and Cup of the Throne titles without him. The club president had justified his absence by the need to receive medical treatment abroad. But his arrest in Germany raises doubts about the real reasons for his absence.
