Racist Graffiti and Threats Target Mosque in Gap, France

Racist and Islamophobic graffiti was discovered on Sunday on the walls of the Assalam mosque in Gap in the Hautes-Alpes.
The vandals took advantage of the night to commit their act. Among the racist and Islamophobic graffiti on the wall of the mosque, there were Celtic crosses, inscriptions such as "Islam out", "Long live France", "Islam = kill", "Veiled women = big bitches" and other blasphemous insults. A threatening letter was also left on the forecourt of the place of worship.
The letter, from the president of a certain "Parti libre de France", states that the members of this party have "chosen this mosque for act 1" of their action. "We want a real France, a strong France, a France proud of what it really is and what it will never be," the note reads, announcing a "act 2" to come.
