Islamophobic Graffiti Discovered at Mosque Construction Site Near Bordeaux

During the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, Islamophobic inscriptions were found on the construction site of the new mosque in Talence. This act has outraged the entire Muslim community, which calls on justice to find and condemn those responsible.
It is with great frustration that Muslims found this Wednesday Islamophobic tags on the walls of the construction site of the new mosque in Thouars de Talence, south of Bordeaux. Once again, an act of racist violence is taking place in the country. Faced with this situation, the president of the Muslim Association of Talence, Mohamed Boultam, indicated that "it is a heinous act, a lack of respect for all Muslims in France. We cannot accept this kind of provocation that fuels hatred. I am shocked and upset by these inscriptions tagged on a place of worship and which fall within the scope of Islamophobia." However, "even if these tags are unacceptable, I call for calm," he added, stressing that a representative of the association will file a complaint very soon.
For his part, the mayor of Talence, Emmanuel Sallaberry, indicated on Facebook that the national police are already handling the case and condemn these actions. "The construction site of the mosque in Talence has been tagged with Islamophobic and homophobic messages. I firmly condemn this act contrary to fundamental freedoms and the values of our Republic. The investigation services have been seized, and I trust the police and justice to find and strongly condemn the perpetrators," he wrote.
Having also learned the news, the Coordination Committee of Turkish Muslims in France (CCMTF) also denounced this act on its Twitter account. "The CCMTF strongly condemns this heinous act in Talence. It must be remedied and we must ensure that we feel safe in our country. We call on our law enforcement to quickly find these individuals in order to condemn them. We must restore a climate of trust," he hammered.
