Far-Right Group Suspected in Racist Vandalism of Talence Mosque Near Bordeaux

After the Nur-El Muhamadi and Al-Houda mosques in downtown Bordeaux, it is the Talence mosque that was targeted by racist tags during the night of March 8. This would be the work of the local far-right group Action directe identitaire (AD).
The mosque is in the middle of renovations. Informed of the incident, the mayor of Talence expressed his disapproval, condemning a reprehensible act. "On behalf of the city of Talence, I express my full support to those who have been affected by these unacceptable acts," he wrote on Twitter, stressing that the perpetrators will be tracked down and convicted for this act that goes against "the values of the republic", reports Saphirnews.
The same night, the extremists also attacked the asylum seeker center in Bègles (CADA), as well as the residence of the deputy Loïc Prud’homme.
