Rabat Tops Mercer’s Ranking of Moroccan Cities, Casablanca Follows

The city of Rabat has again been ranked the best city in Morocco by the British firm Mercer Consulting in its latest annual ranking released this week.
Listing more than 230 cities around the world, the firm analyzed more than thirty criteria, including political stability, crime rate, pollution or infrastructure quality.
In this ranking, the Moroccan capital is ranked 118th in the world, stable compared to the previous year’s report.
The other Moroccan capital, the economic one, Casablanca, for its part, is in 124th place in the world, 6 places behind its great rival Rabat.
Globally, we take almost the same ones and start over with Vienna (Austria), Zurich (Switzerland), Vancouver (Canada), Munich (Germany) and Auckland (New Zealand).
Closer to home, we find Algiers at 185th in the world, Tunis at 114th in the world, Cairo: 177th and Tripoli 218th.
At the bottom of the list: Khartoum, Port-au-Prince, Sanaa, Bangui and Baghdad.
