And this ranking is all the more important as it was established by the Traveler’s Choice Awards, published by TripAdvisor, the largest travel site and which rewards the best global destinations each year.

"Marrakech, the red city, is a place full of magic, with its countless markets, gardens, palaces and mosques. Spend a whole day discovering the Medina and its secret courtyards and winding alleys. Then go and recharge in the calm and serenity reigning in the Jardin Majorelle or admire the splendor of one of the old mosques in the city," the site writes in its description of the ochre city.

To compile this ranking, the reference site has set up an algorithm that takes into account the reviews of attractions, restaurants and hotels and the interests of travelers in terms of booking over a 12-month period. This means that the ranking is a reference in the field.
