Mount Toubkal: Morocco’s Peak Named Top Global Hiking Destination by CNN

Mount Toubkal has once again been honored by the international press by being ranked among the ten best global destinations for hiking enthusiasts.
The ranking has just been established by the American news channel CNN, which places the Moroccan destination in sixth place worldwide among the 23 best circuits in the world.
The American channel thus speaks of "the majestic view at the highest peak of North Africa at 4,167 meters", while specifying that this hike to the peaks of the mountain is "not recommended for the faint-hearted".
"The trail rises from the village of Imlil, crossing the bed of a dried-up river before suddenly climbing through the sanctuary of Sidi Chamharouch towards a large mountain shelter," it is also written on the CNN website.
"Once the night has passed, the hikers attach their crampons and set off beyond the snow cover towards the summit, where the Atlas Mountains spread out for a majestic view," the channel marvels.
Globally, CNN has distinguished the Pennine Way hiking trail, which is located on the border between England and Scotland, then the Pilgrimage of Saint-Jacques-de-Compostela in Spain and finally the Appalachian Trail in the United States.
