Blind British Hiker to Scale Morocco’s Highest Peak for Charity

Tommy Britton, a young blind Briton, has launched a fundraising appeal to finance his association "SeeAbility". Through a great adventure in the High Atlas of Morocco, which will take him to the Ourika Valley and the summit of Mount Toubkal, the young man intends to raise funds for the benefit of people with blindness.
In a statement to British media, Tommy Britton intends to carry out a 50 km hike in the Marrakech region, before embarking on the ascent of the highest peak in Africa, Toubkal.
Scheduled for October 12, 2019, the trip will last 4 days and should lead the young Briton to the Imlil region, as well as to a number of villages, where he will have the opportunity to meet people suffering from a similar disability.
"I’m going to undertake a big journey through Morocco and up Mount Toubkal. It’s not going to be easy, but I’m ready to take on this challenge. Usually I use my cane all day but I’m not sure it will be useful in the mountains," he told the media.
