The new coronavirus infections are worrying the local authorities in Rabat. To contain the pandemic, they have made it mandatory to present an identity card before accessing the beach.
Access to the beach in Rabat is now subject to the presentation of an identity card bearing the address of one of the city’s neighborhoods. Consequently, any summer visitor who is a foreigner to the capital city will not be able to access it.
After the closure of several beaches in Morocco, the beach in Rabat is the only one accessible on the Atlantic coast between Kenitra and Casablanca.
