Rabat Invests 108 Million Dirhams in Advanced Urban Surveillance System

The SDL Rabat Région Aménagements has awarded contracts for the installation of a modern video surveillance system in the city of Rabat.
The work is divided into two distinct lots. The first lot, concerning the layout of the command posts and the data center, was awarded to Finatech Group for an amount of 34.7 million dirhams. The second lot, dedicated to the installation of the video surveillance system itself, was entrusted to Alomra Group International for an amount of 73.8 million dirhams, reports Médias24.
The video surveillance system will include the installation of various types of cameras, including ALPR (Automatic License Plate Recognition) cameras, facial recognition cameras, PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) cameras and long-range cameras.
The implementation of this project will allow centralized supervision of video surveillance from two command posts. The deadlines for the execution of the work are five months for the first lot and six months for the second.
The main objective of this project is to modernize the security of the capital by adopting the latest available technologies. It is a question of setting up a resilient infrastructure capable of ensuring proactive and reactive management of security, while ensuring service continuity.
