Rabat's 3rd high-speed rail (TGV) station (Hay Ryad) is ready, built in 9 months

The city of Rabat is preparing to inaugurate a new major rail infrastructure. The third high-end station of the capital, located in the Hay Ryad district, is scheduled to be operational before the end of November 2025, after a record construction time.

This new station was built in just nine months, including the parking. Its location is strategic, in the immediate vicinity of the Moulay Abdellah sports complex. The objective of this rapid commissioning is to be operational for the next Africa Cup of Nations, in order to facilitate the movements of supporters. The station will be multimodal, accommodating the high-speed train, regular trains (Al Atlas) and the new intercity RER network, whose trains are expected shortly.

A 180 million dirham "bridge-building"

This project, with an estimated cost of 180 million dirhams, is a key element in the modernization of the capital’s infrastructure. According to ONCF’s plans, the station is designed as a "bridge-building" that crosses the railway tracks, thus connecting Annakhil Avenue and Hassan II Avenue.

The infrastructure includes buildings on both sides of the tracks, a mezzanine and two underground parking lots. It also offers multiple access points to the stadium, the bus station and the Al Manal district, fully integrating into the Greater Rabat mobility network.
