Rabat Offers a Third Railway Station in the Heart of the Ryad District
The National Railway Office is commissioning, this Monday, December 15, 2025, the Hay Ryad station, a new 35,000-square-meter infrastructure. Located just steps away from the Moulay Abdellah complex, this "bridge station" aims to streamline movements in a rapidly expanding capital.
It is a monumental link that opens up to travelers. Since this morning, the new Rabat Ryad station has welcomed its first passengers, materializing a physical connection between Annakhil Avenue to the east and Hassan II Avenue to the west. Designed as a "bridge station", this structure is not limited to its transport function; it stands as a key piece of local urban planning, connecting two vital facades of the city.
This inauguration is directly part of the "Rabat, City of Light" program and responds to growing demographic pressure. Faced with the saturation of the usual routes, the ONCF is densifying its offer to support the existing Rabat Agdal and Rabat Ville stations. The objective is to improve the efficiency of the rail network and simplify the mobility of residents and visitors.
Strategically located in the heart of the Ryad district and in the immediate vicinity of the sports complex, the 35,000-square-meter infrastructure has been built to international standards. It is intended to accompany the rapid development of the capital’s urbanization by offering a new, more suitable entry and exit point for current needs.
