Prince Joaan notably manages a private reserve dedicated to the breeding of squid in the Boujdour region.

This stay is also an opportunity for the princely family to reaffirm its commitment to various development and environmental projects in southern Morocco. Among these, the construction of a hospital in Boujdour testifies to the strengthening of ties between Morocco and Qatar.
