Former Emir of Qatar Vacations in Morocco for Year-End Holiday

Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, father of the Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad, has chosen Morocco to spend the end-of-year holidays.
The former Emir of Qatar, Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, father of the current Emir, Tamim, is currently staying in Morocco. Since Thursday, he has been residing in his palace located in the vicinity of the commune of Al Mahbes, under the prefecture of Assa-Zag. He is spending his annual vacation there with his wife Mozah bint Nasser, reports the site Rue20, without specifying whether his prince children have also accompanied him or not.
Morocco is a favorite destination for Qatari princes. They had already built a reserve for the breeding of the houbara bustard on vast lands located east of the city of Boujdour. This reserve benefits from daily surveillance provided by several security agents.
Recently, the father of the current Emir obtained authorization to build a Qatari hospital bearing his name in Boujdour. The document signed on August 5 specifies that the town hall office received the request on July 15, 2024 on an unregistered land and required the permit applicants to pay tax fees set at 103,800 dirhams. This hospital, which will be built in the province of Boujdour near the Qatari reserve for the breeding of the houbara bustard, the property of the princely family of Qatar, will have a capacity of 75 equipped beds, as well as other facilities and green spaces.
