PSG Transfer Bid for Chelsea’s Ziyech Rejected by French League

Bad news for Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech. The Legal Commission of the Professional Football League (LFP) ruled unfavorably on the appeal filed by PSG, which had asked it to validate the contract of the Atlas Lion after the accumulation of errors by Chelsea’s management in the final stretch of the winter transfer window.
Hakim Ziyech will not join the PSG squad. Meeting in Paris on Wednesday, the LFP’s legal commission responsible for approving contracts rejected the Parisian club’s request, which means the transfer failed. Bad news for the 29-year-old player who wanted to leave Stamford Bridge at all costs, where he has only been used sporadically and is confined to a substitute role. Earlier on Tuesday, he had nevertheless passed his medical examination with the Parisian club.
The accumulation of errors by the management of his club in the final stretch of the winter transfer window ended up canceling the transfer. The agreement for the dry loan without a purchase option was therefore not materialized. On the PSG side, the feeling is practically the same. The Parisian club was looking for a central defender and a midfielder, but the winter transfer window ended without the French champions managing to recruit a single player.
