PSG’s Hakimi Faces Hostile Reception in Tel Aviv Over Palestine Stance

Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi was whistled and booed by some Israeli supporters on Sunday, during the Champions Trophy played in Tel Aviv (Israel).
While he was taking his first steps with PSG, in a match against Lille in Tel Aviv, the Moroccan defender was booed. This year again, he was targeted by the public at the Bloomfield stadium in Israel, during the Champions Trophy against Nantes.
The public still has trouble digesting the comment made by the Atlas Lion on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In 2021, Achraf Hakimi was one of those who supported the Palestinian cause on Twitter with a "#FreePalestine". His message had been posted during the confrontation around the Gaza Strip between April and May 2022.
