In terms of market value, the Egyptian Mohamed Salah is at the top with 90 million euros. The market value of the players who will participate in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar is likely to increase. "If a player has a good World Cup, in addition to shining in the Champions League and in his league, and the end of his contract is approaching, he will be in a strong position to negotiate an extension, with a significant salary increase. And the clubs, to fend off the competition, generally react very quickly to keep their player," explained Vincent Chaudel, president of the Observatoire du Sport Business, to the pan-African magazine Jeune Afrique.
