Morocco Pins World Cup Hopes on Star Duo Ziyech and Hakimi

The success or failure of Morocco’s participation in the World Cup, which begins this Sunday, November 20, 2022 in Qatar, largely rests on the shoulders of Moroccan internationals Hakim Ziyech and Achraf Hakimi.
Ranked in Group F, the Atlas Lions will begin their sixth participation in the 2022 World Cup final phase by challenging Croatia (finalist of the last edition) on November 23, before crossing swords with Belgium (eliminated by the Blues in the semi-finals of the previous edition), and finally Canada (back 36 years after their only participation in 1986) on the 3rd matchday. It is certainly a difficult group but Morocco has assets to shine at the World Cup. The kingdom has Achraf Hakimi and Hakim Ziyech to put the opposing teams in difficulty, analyzes The Sun.
To support its analysis, the British daily highlights the qualities of the two players. Achraf Hakimi is one of the best full-backs in the world, with his immense speed, his ability to attack the box and his ability to cross the ball into dangerous areas. He "is an important element of the team, and his combinations with Hakim Ziyech will likely make a key difference between failure and success in Qatar," the author of the article argues. "When Morocco faces a midfield block, the Chelsea star usually drifts towards the central midfield, from where he can make the most of his brilliant passing range and ball handling."
This duo can also count on teammates like Noussair Mazraoui, Romain Saiss, Nayef Aguerd and Sofiane Boufal to meet the challenge.
