Protester Dies After Demonstration in Khenifra, Morocco; Autopsy Ordered

A man in his fifties participating in a demonstration at Place "20 août" in Khenifra succumbed to a malaise on Friday, according to local authorities.
The victim had left the scene after the dispersal of the demonstrators before he felt unwell and fainted on the public highway, the same sources said, noting that he died as soon as he was transferred to the Provincial Hospital of Khenifra.
The body of the quinquagenarian was placed in the morgue. Informed, the competent public prosecutor ordered an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
In addition, an investigation has been opened by the judicial police services to elucidate the circumstances of this tragedy.
